This project, in the process of being built, was inspired by the personal experience of mourning the absence of my mother. When she was diagnosed with senile dementia, I experienced intensely, over the years, the gradual loss of her memory. As the disease evolved, the erasure of his memories were pieces that were being removed from our family inventory. In addition to his death, dealing with the dismantling of his home and giving destination to each object that evoked intense emotional emotion, was heartbreaking.

I took many of them home, reminiscent and imbued with meanings and traces, supposing that they would fill her physical absence. The collection of their belongings were, as if of their own free will, through the images, explaining traces that they had left in my life and how they point to my history and identity.
